Sola Fide: Salvation is by Faith Alone

These past couple months, Pastor Pete has built a case against the rational and righteous sinners in the Book of Romans. These sinners believe that their behaviors are rational or righteous enough for justification by God. This Sunday, an introduction will be made to the third type of sinner, the religious sinner, who believes that s/he can be justified by their godly works. To be declared justified means to be declared "not guilty" before God. As we will see, Christians are justified solely by faith, which is a gift from God, and not works- lest any should boast. This message will primarily focus upon the texts of Galatians 2 and Philippians 3.

“A Weapon That Is Terrible to Behold”

With everything going on in the world today, it seems that Christians are losing the fight for humanity. There is no longer prayer in school, the Ten Commandments are being removed from court buildings, and marriage, a covenant with God, is being destroyed. How can Christians fight against this? Listen as we look at "A Weapon That Is Terrible To Behold."

“Mind Set”

Whatever your mind is 'set' on will determine the outcome of your life. The mind set on the flesh is death, hostility towards God and an inability to follow His commands. But the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. What is your mind set on? We cannot live in both mind sets!

Assessment Overview

Dwight Hunt, South West Church Connection for the Conservative Baptist Association of America Church Health Assessment representative gave a report on the church wide assessment recently done for Manzanita Baptist Church, the good, the bad and the recommended prescriptions for improvement. By in large the church in America is either in crisis or in decline. Very few churches are deemed as spiritually healthy and increasing in growth numerically and spiritually. It is the heart cry of the Pastor and leadership of MBC to be a healthy, vibrant, Spirit filled and growing church community of believers. Jesus told His disciples that He would build His church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. We do live in an age of apostasy, a falling away from the truth. Please pray with us and for us for continued growth and commitment to the King in His Kingdom in Kingman, Arizona. Listen for LIFE!
